The department of Public Administration of the Erasmus University will be the coordinator of a large international comparative research project into the drivers and barriers behind social innovation practices in the public sector.  The project is funded by 7th Framework Program of the European Commission involving 2,5 Million euros. The research will be conducted in eleven European countries (Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Rumania, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom). To achieve this a consortium of universities and research institutes in these countries has been formed. The project will start February, the 1st  2013 and will last for 3,5 years.
